a (fun) noun: (fun) people, places or things

Alright, so I am always interested in fun things to do. I love the ballet, the Opera, museums, the Zoo, parks, beautiful gardens, dancing, fun (and decent) comedy clubs, animals, almost anything except ice skating and a few others. I am always interested in learning about new things to do, eat, or new places to go and see. Growing up in such a small place provided me with almost nothing in the way of entertainment and since moving to H* several years ago I have loved being surrounded by so many different things. This became even truer after I had Rebekah and started staying at home. It is now a necessity for me to get out and do things with her everyday, other than going to the store (she only needs so many clothes, and I have already exceeded that limit!)
I am definitely interested in learning what things/places all of you enjoy, especially if they are not common, because then there's a greater chance that it will be new to me!! I am going to start posting fun things to do in H* every few weeks for families and for dates. Oh, and also restaurants, whenever I stumble across a great new one. Please do the same!

Museums and more fun

I have had several people ask about the museum pass that I (and many others) have. It is for the Coyote Point Museum in California. Don't let the location fool or dissuade you, this pass is awesome. It works at hundreds of museums and zoos all over the country. Here in H* it works at the Children's museum, the Zoo and at the Health Science Museum. Two longest car rides
1. Holy, how about two of MANY horrible trips. Almost every family trip when I was a teenager seemed like the longest, most painful trip ever. You may think that's because I was a teenager, but no they were truely awful. How about all the way up the coastal highway, through California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, and back up into Alberta? The speed limit on the caostal highway was about 30 for a good chunk of it. It was very beautiful but once we hit seattle things went nutty. Two parents (one who can't handle anything not totally organized and, well, extremely uptight) and three girls in one hotel room. I ended up sleeping on the floor on the bed cover - you know how gross they are in hotels. Yeah, so things got so bad that we left around 4:30 a.m. and my dad cancelled the reast of the trip to save us from anymore problems.
2. Driving from Alberta to Texas when I moved here. It was a long way, and I was sad to leave everything.
