Happy Birthday Nelson!

This week we celebrated Nelson's Birthday. The big 31. I got his watch fixed. It had been sitting in the closet for at elast two years, so this really was a surprise for him. Rebekah and Levi put all their pocket change together and managed to get him a big George Foreman Grill. (Lovely, lovely, it works like a dream.) Nelson's parents and sister's family came over for dinner and cake.

Sadly I did not take a close up picture of the cake. It was a Sour Cream Lemon Cake with Pineapple Filling. It was delicious and took way too long to make.

Boys will be boys

Levi loves his daddy.

He loves to be held by Nelson. If he hears him talking Levi turns his head to where Nelson is and smiles. His little eyes light up a bit more when he hears his voice and he loves loves loves to smile and coo with his daddy. It is SO cute to see.

Swimming Lessons

Rebekah just finished her Pike level swimming lessons at our local YMCA. She loved her teacher and always enjoys swimming. She had a lot of fun doing "ice cream scoops," singing silly songs, jumping in the water, swimming around with pool noodles and playing games. I took her swimming on Saturday and I actually noticed a difference from two weeks ago before her lessons. She is more confident and willing to do/try more things. She now puts her head under the water longer and is able to actually swim a LITTLE bit.

A day at the Aquarium

Last weekend Rebekah, Levi and I spent the afternoon at the downtown Aquarium with some good friends of ours. I've been wanting to go there for quite some time and we had fun. Alas, poor Daddy/Nelson was working and could not accompany us. We missed him!

Levi's two month stats are:
Height: 23 1/2 inches
Weight: 12 pounds 1 oz.

He's growing like a weed!!

Levi smiles and coos all of the time. Yesterday he gave his first little laugh. It was adorable! I feel so lucky that I get to stay at home with him (and Rebekah) and witness all of their firsts. It's so fun and special.
Levi is sleeping like a champ and has already slept through the night a few times!!
He loves to be held and loves to stare at the ceiling fan.
He is very alert and aware of things around him.
Levi likes it when Rebekah sings to him.
