Happy Birthday Daddy/Nelson!

Happy Birthday Mr. 32 year old!

Since graduating from school Nelson finally has time to play soccer so this morning Rebekah and Levi surprised daddy with a new soccer ball, soccer socks and shin guards.
All he got from him wife were a few boring pairs of pants. Thank heavens she also made his favorite dinner and a delicious chocolate cake.

We love you!!!

Oh Canada!

We have been having quite a fun time here in Canada (more specific Southern Alberta). The weather has been an issue half of the time, what with it being so cold I had to go buy pants for the kids, to it being nice and warm enough to swim the next day. Oh, and then there was the day that it was so cold in the morning I decided to make Crock-pot tortilla soup for the family for dinner, and then by the time it I was dinner time it was too hot outside to eat it! (We still ate it, though, but boy was it too warm for it.)

On the days where the weather has been cooperating we have kept quite busy. We went white water rafting in Glacier National Park in Montana, hit up good old Stirling days, complete with it's parade, kiddie carnival, meals and fireworks, went to a 10 year high school reunion, went toWaterton National Park, swam, four-wheeled, and had a few bonfires and hot dog roasts (hey, it's too hot in H*town to do them in the summer so I've been getting my fill while I can!).

I have enjoyed seeing my grandparents, parents, siblings and nieces/nephews. We always have such fun conversations that there is never a dull moment. A great holiday!

Almost every night Rebekah and Levi enjoyed a bath in the jet/jacuzzi tub:

Rebekah had asked me if we could ride a horse when we went to visit grandpa. I happen to be friends with this nice fellow in the photo with her, and he was kind enough to let us come over and ride his horse Poco.

Look closely and you'll see a very nervous smile on my face. I hadn't been on a horse since seventh grade, when one bucked me off and I broke my wrist.

The walkin' boy!

Levi started to walk today! We are so excited and can't wait for Daddy to arrive in a few days so Levi can show off his new skills! I kind of made him walk from my niece to me this morning a few times, and then later this evening he let go of a chair and started walking all on his own. Yea for the little baby baby!
His little cousin Abrams walks all over the place and I think seeing him has helped L to start walking now too. He gets very happy and starts clapping for himself after he's taken a few steps. It's really quite adorable.

The big birthday girl

My sweet little Rebekah is 4 today!!!
She is such a fun, entertaining, delightful, smart little girl and is just my best little bud. I love playing with her each day and watching as she learns new things all of the time. She continually amazes me with her vocabulary and the way she expresses herself. She loves to learn Spanish and wants to go to a Spanish Pre-K in the fall. Rebekah is a wonderful, fun big sister to Levi and plays with him and makes him laugh.
She still sings and dances all of the time and loves to play with her dolls and go swimming. She recently learned how to swim and is so confindent!
My sweet girl, I love you so much!

Since we were leaving on a trip before Rebekah's birthday we still wanted to have a party with friends so before we left Rebekah had a Strawberry Shortcake (S.S.) party. We had games: Pin the leaf on the strawberry, an Angel Cake walk to S.S. music, and the kids all went on a strawberry hunt in Strawberry Land to help Strawberry Shortcake collect all the strawberries (phew, that's a lot of strawberries). The food was mostly pink, red and green, with strawberry PB&J sandwiches, drinks, etc. The cake was, of course, a strawberry shortcake. Rebekah loved it.

We are in Canada right now, so Rebekah has an extra special day today celebrating with her cousins and grandparents!

First thing in the morning, when Rebekah opened her door these decorations were waiting for her:
