Hearing tests abound
Given Levi's history of ear problems some hearing tests were ordered. When he failed the hearing test they ordered an ABR test. For the ABR the person drinks some medication, falls asleep and then the audio brain waves (or something like that) are measured. Thankfully Levi passed the ABR which means no hearing problems. My guess is that he "failed" the hearing test due to being in an unfamiliar room, doing things he's not used to, with a person he doesn't know. He's actually somewhat shy so he wouldn't respond to some of the things the Audiologist did/said/prompted. When this doctor abruptly told me afterwards that he had failed this test, and made it sound like he would need hearing aids, I was completely taken aback. My opinion of everything involving Levi's hearing was that his chronic ear infections and the resultant build up of fluid in his ears, were what was affecting his hearing. After Levi had his second set of tubes he started speaking better and more clearly than ever before. Thankfully everything really was/is fine. Mothers have an intuition for a reason. And sometimes that reason is to keep you from stressing out when a doctor tells you something that goes against what you are fairly sure is true.
Oh Canada!
We had such a FUN trip to Canada! Nelson came up for 2 weeks and the kids and I stayed an extra week after he left. Several of my siblings and their families were visiting as well. It was wonderful! We went to Waterton and touched snow!!!!Went tubing and played on the hoodoos at Writing On Stone, rented the Stirling pool and had a BBQ, walked around Henderson Lake and had a KFC picnic (a tradition from when I was young), visited the Cardston temple, went to Stirling Settler Days and the parade, celebrated Rebekah's 6th birthday, saw friends and much more. I love it when we are able to go back to Southern Alberta and visit.

Rebekah's 6th Birthday
Rebekah was lucky in the birthday category this year. Because we will be in Canada for her actual birthday, she was able to celebrate it early with friends this year. She wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese's and invited two friends to come with her.

Happy 4th of July
Happy 4th of July!
We started the day at our ward pancake breakfast and then headed over to the Bellaire parade and festival. Nelson drove one of our Floors by Nelson vans in the parade and Rebekah and Levi helped him
throw the candy.
We spent the afternoon at Melissa and Wally's, grilling and splashing in the baby pool.
