Oh my Valentine

We had a nice Valentine's Day. Nelson doesn't really like the commercialization for all the Holidays because it's just a push to spend money and celebrate random days/things that don't really need to be celebrated, or at least in the way society pushes. I, on the other hand, like a lot of it. Rebekah and I made several little heart shaped jello molds and cakes spelling out Happy V Day Dad! It was fun and this way I didn't feel as bad with Rebekah eating Jello as opposed to cake. Nelson was happy with this because the only thing I had to buy special were the heart shaped tins. He bought me one red rose and Rebekah one white rose ('cause she's a pure little babe) and a mylar balloon. It was sweet, and perfect. I would love to have a dozen red roses, they are so beautiful and the fragrance... ah I just hold them to my nose and breathe them in. I love flowers, but I'll take any! They jack the prices up so high on Valentine's Day, it's highway robbery I tell ya! Anyway, Nelson came home with the flowers, ate a little cake (of course) and then we left to Macaroni Grill. That's the restaurant we ate at on our first, horrible date. Haha, now that I think of it, it's hilarious! I didn't choose the restaurant for any sentimental reason, obviously since the date turned us both off and it's amazing we had a second date at all, I just wanted good Italian food. Mmmm, I love Italian, and it was Valentine's Day and I didn't feel like cooking. (Coincidentally, the menu for that night at home was going to be fettuccine alfredo. Viva Italia!) After a nice dinner, complete with Rebekah, Nelson and I watched No Reservations. I wasn't necessarily expecting a whole lot out of the movie (from what I can remember the reviews weren't all that great) but I actually really liked it. I thought it was sweet and nice. It's not my favorite of all Romantic Comadies, but it was nice, well worth the $1.08 it cost me to rent. Fantastico!
